| Bio: | "of writing many books there is no end; and I who have written much in prose and verse for others' uses, will write now for mine - will write my story for my better self as when you paint your portrait for a friend, who keeps it in a drawer and looks at it long after he has ceased to love you, just to hold together what he was and is." - the opening lines of Aurora Leigh, by Elizabeth Barrett Browning i'm a california girl at heart, though i currently live in the windy city. during the school year, saint louis is my home. after spending a semester in madrid, i'm finishing up the year at SLU. i'm majoring in english and communication, hoping to someday do something with writing. in the meantime, i'm learning everything that i can and having a blast doing it. work hard, party harder, that's my motto. so for an anal retentive honors student, i party an awful lot. once i started to cry when beer spilled on my visual aid for public speaking. i'm scared of falling in love but i wonder what's wrong with me when i don't. i sing in the shower, in the car, walking to class, in the grocery store, everywhere. i was born a performer and i sometimes make a spectacle out of myself. just as long as someone laughs, i'm happy. you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince, but no one said it couldn't be fun :o) i'm a firm believer that nothing can't be fixed with a good nap. all the world's a stage, and at least the guys in it are merely players - but as far as i'm concerned, i'm the star! i derive a great amount of personal satisfaction from proving people wrong. i have too many freckles but sometimes i think i'm pretty anyway. i kiss and tell, so sue me. i love being in the water but i hate swimming. and i was a lifeguard last summer. i ♥ kris roe. maybe these are my glory days, and i'm not even realizing it because they don't involve a ball. i have multiple journals that i write in, but this is my favorite, just because i know that other people read it. i just want bang bang bang. it's fun to send dumb things in the mail to people you're missing. i have a tendency to say the things that are on other people's minds, the things they knew better than to say out loud. so what if i have a big mouth - i'm good at keeping other people's secrets. i always catch the clock at 10:13, but if i happen to catch it at 11:11 i always start to sing. it's not hard to dream , you'll always be my konstantine. i don't have a job but i shop anyway. boys in flip flops and/or sloppy button down shrits drive me wild. i think that slap my fro is the coolest phrase ever. and even though i complain an awful lot, i love my life. i'm almost always shy at first. my favorite animals are dolphins, and i still love going to touch tanks - have you ever stuck your finger in a sea urchin, or poked a sea anemone? i always think of things to write about as i'm drifting off to sleep - i find that's the best time for me to write. that's why i keep a pen and paper next to my bed. spongebob squarepants is the best show ever, and sailor mouth is my favorite episode. i am the oldest of four, and sometimes i wonder if i set a good example. i have a knack for predicting if something's going to be popular or trendy. but i usually don't tell anyone about my inklings so no one ever believes me. in the world according to garp, we are all terminal cases. i almost never get mad, but when i do, watch out. sometimes i think that assholes are the best muses. and i'm brutally honest so don't ask me for your opinion if you don't really want it. taken out of context, i must seem so strange. if you want to be my friend, add me, leave a comment and i'll add you back. i'm not exclusive. my life is an open book and i'm turning the pages one by one.  ♥ two voices i couldn't live without ♥  "a thing may happen and be a total lie; another thing may not happen and be truer than the truth." - tim o'brien "there's nothing to writing. all you do is sit down at a typewriter and open up a vein." - red smith "darling don't just stand there, come knock me around.
